Here’s a Taylor 814ce LTD Grand Auditorium Cocobolo Natural sporting a Sitka Spruce top paired with Cocobolo for the sides, back and headplate, built in 2018 and in very good clean condition.
The Taylor 814ce LTD uses a Grand Auditorium body with a rounded Venetian cutaway. Aside from the Sitka and Cocobolo combination, Mahogany is used for the body blocks and neck, with Ebony – from the Crelicam mill that Bob Taylor is a partner in – used for the fingerboard and bridge. And it’s a Taylor, so the ES-2 pickup system is installed at the factory, with the battery box accessed from the tailblock – an excellent and very practical development. The inlays and rosette ring are a combination of Mother of Pearl and Paua / Abalone, and the tuners are an upgraded Gotoh set with engraved cases and buttons. The engraving on the buttons has a secondary benefit, making them much easier to grip.
Overall this lovely guitar is in very good condition with only very light wear.
This Taylor 814ce LTD is sold with its original Taylor branded hard shell case.
