One of their last solidbodies, the Ovation UKII 1291 Ultra Kaman is a very interesting instrument. Many novel features are found on this high-quality guitar.
Built between 1980 and 1982, the Ovation UKII 1291 Ultra Kaman features a body built from foam on an aluminum frame. It was not a budget model- the neck is mahogany with an ebony fingerboard and mother of pearl bow-tie position markers, the hardware is gold plated,it has a brass nut, and the blade-type humbucking pickups have series / parallel switches on their trim rings. Plus, it has stereo and mono outputs!
This unusual guitar is in good playing condition with very little wear. A Japanese hardshell case is included.
