Linda Manzer has been building guitars for over 30 years and like so many top Canadian luthiers, started with Jean Larrivee. She has also trained with Jimmy D’Aquisto, the ‘heir’ to the traditions of John D’Angelico. Her instruments are top of the heap and it is rare to see one available on the used market.

This example dates to 1980 and is a cutaway steel string with Spruce top and Indian Rosewood back and sides. The neck is mahogany with ebony for the fingerboard and bridge, and the headstock sports a rosewood headplate. The rosette features a ring of coloured shell, likely abalone. This guitar has been played over its 35 years so it has some finish wear, but the wear is light and the guitar has been well cared for. It plays well and a has a rich, full open tone. The original hardshell case is included.
