Alastair Miller builds various types of acoustic and electric guitars, including the lap steel, in his Toronto workshop, after working for the De Jonge guitar company.
The Miller ‘Dallas’ lap steel is a six-string steel, based on a piece of solid flamed maple with ebony for the fingerboard and headplates. The pickups are custom wound by Alastair, and the wiring offers a tone and blend control. The pickup mount / bridge assembly is also a Miller built component. This instrument dates to 2013 and is in very good condition. A GoldTone hardshell case is included.
