MORE →The Gold Tone Resophonic 5-String Dojo pictured above is one of the only Reso-phonic 5-string banjos I have ever had the opportunity to play. As you would expect, the craftsmanship is tidy and the design is intelligent and attractive. What is surprising to me about this instrument is the tone. I would have expected a resonator style banjo to be quite harsh and shrill sounding but this ‘Dojo’ is quite subtle and ‘chimey’ sounding!
