Today we are featuring the two point Bighorn Mandolin from Weber. Right away this piece caught my eye with its highly flamed maple sides, back and neck which are augmented by the translucent walnut finish. The great vintage vibe of the Bighorn is just the start. Some of the high quality features include: hand graduated and tuned solid spruce top, hand scalloped spruce top bars, gold hardware and a traditional Brekke bridge.

How many times has Jean-Claude Larrivee reinvented himself? In the ’60s and ’70s he was one of only a handful of individual luthiers building what has now become known as “boutique” guitars.
