Fender introduced the Vibrolux Reverb Amp in 1964 as part of a rework of their amplifier line, in response to the ever growing demand for volume. The Vibrolux Reverb featured 30 watts into two ten inch speakers, and was plenty loud for many applications.

Rickenbacker has a unique position in guitar history, having produced some of the very earliest true electric instruments – specifically, the ‘frying pan’ steel guitars of 1931.
