Fender Vibrolux Reverb Combo Amp Silverface, 1976

Brand:

The Fender Vibrolux Reverb combo amp delivers 35 watts through a pair of 10 inch speakers, and was the smallest 6L6 based Fender amp. While it’s similar to other higher powered amps like the Pro or Super Reverb, its smaller transformers provide earlier breakup. Still, these amps are have a bright, sparkling tone and the two tens are tight and responsive.  Many players who want a bit  more power and clean headroom without modifications to the circuitry simply replace the rectifier tube with a solid state. diode rectifier.

Here we are looking at a 1976 Fender Vibrolux Reverb in its Silverface version, built during the CBS era at the Fullerton, California plant. It is in good working order, and has been recently checked over. It’s been used as intended, so there is light scuffing of the grille cloth and black Tolex covering, but no real tears.

I used a Vibrolux Reverb for years myself, and for added volume and projection I simply put it on a chair.  These are great sounding amps with lots of usable volume. It has a moderate weight, just over  40 pounds or 19 kg.
