Nechville Midnight Phantom Standard 5-String Banjo

The Nechville Midnight Phantom Standard 5-string banjo offers all of the quality and technical advances of Tom Nechville’s designs, with subtle decoration. “Standard” isn’t really an official Nechville designation; we use it as many of the instruments we receive from them have custom features.  You can read our post on the Midnight Phantom Custom here.

Martin 000-28EC Eric Clapton Model Natural, 2001

Martin 000-28EC Eric Clapton Model Natural, 2001

The Martin 000-28EC Eric Clapton model is based on the guitar Eric Clapton used for an historic performance. This example dates to September of 2001 and is in overall good clean condition with minor play wear. Fret wear is light to moderate in the low positions, and there is plenty of fret life remaining. On 16 January 1992, Eric Clapton performed for a small audience at Bray Film Studios in Windsor England.

Ryan Paradiso Grand Concert Steel String Guitar, 2020

Ryan Paradiso Grand Concert Steel String Guitar, 2020

Here we have a very special Ryan Paradiso Grand Concert model, built during 2020 in Southern California and with all of the Ryan appointments. It is rare to see one of these models on the used market. Kevin Ryan has been building guitars since 1987, while he was an engineer for Northrop AgroScience Lab, building models of jets for transonic wind tunnel testing. The necessarily extreme thoroughness and attention to detail carried over into his guitar designs, producing many innovations – not to mention great sounding guitars!

SOLD Karol Belair Harp Guitar Natural, 2021

SOLD Karol Belair Harp Guitar Natural, 2021

Here’s an unusual, beautiful and spectacular piece – a Tony Karol Belair Harp Guitar, combining salvaged Bearclaw Spruce and Cocobolo with a fan fret fingerboard! Harp guitars date to the early years of the 18th century and the first true harp guitar appeared in Paris in 1773, built by Naderman.   He called this instrument a ‘Bisex’,  meaning double six – six harp strings and six regular strings.   Over time that term has taken on a rather different meaning.
