Eastman AR805CE Cutaway Archtop Guitar, Sunburst 2006

The Eastman AR805CE archtop is a high quality archtop guitar sporting a cutaway and traditional neck-mount pickup, with controls on the pickguard so the solid spruce top is not restricted by extra hardware. Hearkening back to the days of archtop supremacy, the AR805CE uses a 16 inch wide, 3.25 inch deep body built with solid woods – carved solid spruce for the top, carved solid maple for the back, and maple for the sides and neck.

❌ Sold❌ Eastman MD615 F-Style Mandolin Sunburst, 2010

This Eastman MD615 F-Style mandolin dates to 2010 based on its serial number, and is in very clean condition. The top is carved Spruce, and the back is carved Flame Maple. The sides and neck are also Flame Maple, and the bound fingerboard is Ebony. The bridge and head plate are also Ebony. It has a few small chips around the edges, particularly at the top end of the headstock – this is a vulnerable spot for this type of head. For the most part the finish is very clean and unmarked.

Eastman E20D-SB Dreadnought Steel String Guitar Sunburst, 2005

The Eastman E20D is the less decorated cousin to the Eastman E40D we posted recently, but even without the decorations it’s an impressive and classy guitar.
This example was built at the Eastman plant in China during 2005 and has been both played in and well looked after. It’s set up for bluegrass use, meaning that the action is a little higher for spirited playing, competing with other percussively loud instruments like banjos and mandolins.

Eastman E40D-SB Dreadnought Steel String Guitar Sunburst, 2017

Taking design cues from the Martin D-42 dreadnought, the Eastman E40D shows the lines and visual features of the most successful guitars in a natural or sunburst top dreadnought. It’s well decorated, but not overly so and makes for a great sounding, tasteful and classy instrument.

Recalling the Martin D-42, the Eastman E40D-SB takes the classic lines and appointments of the most successful dreadnought designs. The SB denotes a sunburst finish. The top is solid Adirondack Spruce, the back and sides are Indian Rosewood, the neck mahogany and the fingerboard and bridge are ebony. Abalone inlays are used throughout the guitar, on the headstock, fingerboard, and around the top and soundhole.
