Gibson SG Standard Walnut with Bigsby, 1973

Shown here is an original condition Gibson SG Standard with optional Bigsby from 1973, in Walnut finish and originally sold at Mamelok LTD in Manchester, England, which closed in 1993. The Gibson SG Standard launched with the SG name in 1963, but really first appeared in 1961 as a radical redesign of the Les Paul model.

Gibson Les Paul Studio LH Left Handed Vintage Burst, 2018

Here we’re looking at a Gibson Les Paul Studio LH (Left Handed) model with gloss finish, fingerboard binding and trapezoid position markers. Since it first appeared in 1983, the Les Paul Studio has been available in a range of configurations. All have delivered the essential Les Paul experience and is one of the better deals in quality electric guitars.

Gibson Les Paul Deluxe GoldTop, 1975

Making its debut appearance in 1969, the Gibson Les Paul Deluxe layout was based on the 1950’s pre-humbucker P-90 models. The Deluxe body construction uses the same Maple cap on a Mahogany back as the Standard humbucker version, but the pickup routes accept either P-90s or mini-humbuckers which are mounted in P-90 sized support rings.

Epiphone Olympic Special Solidbody Sunburst, 1963

Shown here is a fairly rare guitar – an Epiphone Olympic Special, built during 1963 at the Gibson Kalamazoo plant and looking almost exactly like a single-pickup Melody Maker. This version was offered from 1963 to 1969, with a production total of around 3,000 guitars.

Gibson ES-325 TDW Thinline Electric Walnut, 1974

Here’s a fairly rare guitar, a Gibson ES-325 TDW, where the ‘TDW’ stands for Two Pickup, Double Cutaway, Walnut finish. The TDW does not appear anywhere on the guitar or its label, bur does appear on marketing materials, to distinguish it from the ES-325 TDC with Cherry finish or the TD in Tobacco Sunburst. This guitar was built between 1972 and 1978 and is an original example of Gibson’s Norlin era production – Gibson’s corporate parent between 1969 and 1986.

Gibson B-25 Steel String Guitar Sunburst, 1967

Appearing towards the end of 1962, the Gibson B-25 replaced by way of renaming both the LG-2 and LG-3 models, which only differed in top finish. The sunburst top LG-2 became the B-25, while the natural finish top LG-3 became the B-25N. All three models were identical in terms of construction.
