Ibanez AM-70 Artist Compact Thinline Black, 1985

Here’s a great condition Ibanez AM-70 Artist Compact Thinline Archtop in Black finish, dating to 1985, its first year. This model was only built until 1987. With proportions somewhat like the Gibson ES-339 models, the Ibanez AM-70 is a scaled down version of the classic ES-335 style models. The top, back and sides are laminate Birch with a Maple center block. The neck is 3-piece Maple with a bound Indian Rosewood fingerboard.

Fintan McEnroe MC18 F-Style Mandolin Sunburst, 2023

Here we have the brand-new Fintan McEnroe MC18 F-style mandolin from Fintan McEnroe, working in Toronto but originally from Ballyjamesduff, County Cavan, Ireland. The ‘18’ in the name refers to the mandolin serial number and production sequence. This fine instrument was very recently finished, in August of 2023.

Gibson Les Paul Deluxe GoldTop, 1975

Making its debut appearance in 1969, the Gibson Les Paul Deluxe layout was based on the 1950’s pre-humbucker P-90 models. The Deluxe body construction uses the same Maple cap on a Mahogany back as the Standard humbucker version, but the pickup routes accept either P-90s or mini-humbuckers which are mounted in P-90 sized support rings.

Here we’re looking at a Capek F5 Professional mandolin built by Rost’a Capek during July of 2003 in Prague, Czech Republic. Capek offers several versions of the F5 style; the Basic is relatively simple, while the Professional uses highly figured woods and more elaborate inlays.

Fender American Standard Stratocaster HSS Sienna, 2015

This Fender American Standard Stratocaster HSS features a ShawBucker paired with two Custom Shop Fat 50’s, and a Sienna Burst Ash body. Dating to February of 2015 and built in Corona, California, this very well preserved example is a very comfortable, versatile guitar that covers most musical bases.

Hammertone Deluxe Mandotar Prototype Sunburst, 1990s

The Hammertone Deluxe Mandotar is a very interesting instrument. Built in George Furlanetto’s FBass workshop in Hamilton, Ontario and drawing from the 1964 – 1968 Vox Mando Guitar or Octave 12, these are like a solidbody electric 12 string with a capo at the octave fret. The size and layout is much like a mandolin.
