Here is a brand new, pre-sold G W Barry OM cutaway model with a Bearclaw Spruce top, demonstrating Barry’s great skill in guitar building. Quality Adirondack Spruce is hard to come by… the elusive “bear-claw” feature present in this example is rare, to say the least. The stiffness exhibited by it allows for a top with a much higher “threshold” of volume and tone. Dynamics are at the heart of this choice, retaining detail for both lower and higher attack styles.

Seagull Coastline Momentum CH Concert Hall Natural Gloss

The Seagull Coastline Momentum CH HG A/E is another excellent guitar from the Godin family in Quebec. This precise model has been discontinued but we’ve still got a few of them in stock! The name indicates that this guitar is part of the Coastline Momentum line, CH for Concert Hall body shape, HG for High Gloss finish, and A/E ‘Acoustic Electric’. The CH ‘Concert Hall’ body is an equivalent to the classic Orchestra Model body used successfully by many builders since its introduction in the early 1930s.

Seagull Coastline Momentum HG A/E Steel String Guitar Cedar

The Seagull Coastline Momentum HG A/E is another excellent guitar from the Godin family in Quebec, with a solid Cedar top and laminate Cherry sides and back – and a Fishman pickup system! Since the creation of the award winning S6 model in 1982, Seagull guitars have been known for their excellent quality. The Seagull Coastline Momentum was designed in 2017 and features a solid cedar top and a very thin high gloss finish. This thin finish provides a luxurious accent to the wild cherry sides and back and allows the cedar top to vibrate more freely and that means more volume and tone production.

Gibson ES175 Sunburst Refinish, 1960

Here we have a Gibson ES175 sunburst, built during 1960 in Kalamazoo, Michigan and sporting a refinish and a pair of gold Guild humbuckers. The Gibson ES175 sunburst – its primary finish, though it was also available in natural at extra cost – was introduced in 1949 and produced until 2017. At that point, Gibson was restructuring and terminated several models and the Memphis plant. It is based on a number of previous Gibson arched top electric models, with Maple Laminates used for the body to reduce feedback.

Larrivee OM 03R Recording Series Guitar Satin Natural, 2008

Part of the Recording Series, the Larrivee OM 03R draws from the classic Orchestra Model design introduced in the early 1930s to aid the great shift to guitar by banjo players. The Larrivee OM 03R is built using traditional materials including a Sitka Spruce top with Herringbone purfling and rosette, Indian Rosewood for the back sides and head plate, Mahogany for the body blocks and neck, with Ebony for the bridge and bound fingerboard. The body binding is Maple while, in this period, the fingerboard binding is grained ivoroid. The finish is natural satin.

Gibson 57 Reissue Les Paul Junior Faded Cherry, 2007

The Gibson 57 Reissue Les Paul Junior is a re-creation of one of the popular entry level Les Paul, introduced in 1954. Here we’re looking at a Gibson 57 Reissue Les Paul Junior in a Faded Cherry nitrocellulose lacquer finish. Like its source, this guitar is simply built with Mahogany slab body, a Mahogany neck with full ‘baseball bat’ neck profile and an Indian Rosewood fingerboard – the 1950s originals would have used Brazilian Rosewood. This guitar has been played, and there’s an amount of ‘buckle rash’ on the back.
