The Seagull Concert Hall Mahogany SG A/E, built by Godin in La Patie, Quebec, is based on the classic OM or Orchestra Model body size, with 24.9 inch scale length and sports a built in pickup system. Designed as a very practical instrument, the Seagull Concert Hall Mahogany features a solid Mahogany top, Mahogany laminate sides and back for stability in varying humidity and temperature conditions. The use of laminates here also improves feedback resistance when the guitar is amplified.

Godin 5th Ave Uptown TR Red GT with Bigsby, 2014

The Godin 5th Ave Uptown GT, now discontinued, was one of the many forms the 5th Ave Uptown has taken since its launch in 2008. Here it is equipped with a pair of Duncan humbuckers a licensed Bigsby B30 tailpiece and a ‘pinned’ floating bridge. Archtop F-hole guitars were very popular from the 1930s into the 1950s, until advances in amplification allowed stage volumes to dramatically rise. Gibson’s groundbreaking ES-335 thinline was the first successful blending of the archtop tone with the feedback resistance of solidbody models.

Sold Out and Discontinued! Godin Multiac ACS Denim Blue Flame

The Godin Multiac ACS SA in Denim Blue Flame is a direct descendant of a Chet Atkins idea and is intended as a ‘crossover’ guitar for those coming to nylon strings from the electric world. With this in mind, the neck is slightly narrower than a Classical or Flamenco guitar, and the fingerboard is crowned. The chambered body and solid neck of the Godin ACS SA are Mahogany, with a Richlite fingerboard – a composite material that does a good job of simulating Ebony. The top of this model is a figured Maple Veneer with a lovely translucent denim blue shade, providing an unusual and quite attractive appearance.

Godin Multiac Grand Concert Satin Gloss, 2002

The Godin Multiac Grand Concert has become a very successful and immensely practical instrument, and is based directly on the Gibson Chet Atkins CE Classical Electric from 1981.
By the early 1980s, Chet Atkins had shifted largely to playing nylon string guitars, but the instruments available at the time were strictly acoustic and not really suited to the realities of touring, and amplified or broadcast stages. On Atkin’s request, Gibson produced two models of a solidbody nylon string guitar, using Mahogany for the neck and a slab body, adding a Spruce top.

The Godin 5th Avenue Jazz is aimed squarely at the jazz guitarist using amplfiication, using an arched, laminated top and back with a single neck-mount mini humbucker. The design is classic and straight ahead.

The Godin Acousticaster is the natural progression of an original idea from Chet Atkins, who needed an acoustic guitar that wouldn’t feed back at stage volumes. The first models were the Gibson Chet Atkins Cutaway Electric Classical, which used a heavy, chambered mahogany body with spruce top and a six-element piezo bridge pickup.
