Collings City Limits Deluxe Sunburst, 2007

Collings City Limits Deluxe Sunburst, 2007

The Collings City Limits Deluxe, part of the CL line, draws from the proven combination of a Maple cap on a Mahogany body, providing warmth, clarity and sustain. This Collings City Limits Deluxe was first shipped and sold in March of 2008, and as Collings assigns serial numbers at start of production – which can take three to six months per instrument – this guitar would have been started in late 2007. It’s in very good clean condition with minor wear.

Eastman SB59V Single Cutaway Solidbody Electric, Amber

Eastman SB59V Single Cutaway Solidbody Electric, Amber

Though unequivocally drawn from the classic Les Paul design and in particular the most desirable 1959 models, the Eastman SB59V is not a slavish copy. Many visual differences are clear, including the shapes of the headstock and cutaway. The body is constructed of a carved, Flame maple top laminated to a one-piece Mahogany slab body. A Mahogany neck with a bound Ebony fingerboard is attached via a longish tenon joint. The neck has a vintage style ‘V’ profile.

Fender 70 Esquire Relic Blonde, 2008

Fender 70 Esquire Relic Blonde, 2008

Here is a rare Custom Shop Fender 70 Esquire Relic with Rosewood fingerboard in translucent blonde, and sporting an added Lollar neck pickup. This model was built in a run of 20 examples during 2008. The Fender Esquire was the first Electric Spanish style guitar to appear in a Fender catalog (all the others were Hawaiian or steel guitars), making its debut in the spring of 1950. This single pickup model didn’t have an adjustable truss rod, but by the fall of 1950, the two-pickup Broadcaster appeared and adjustable truss rods were standard for all the necks.
