This National Squareneck Tricone Style 2.5 is one of the earliest resophonic guitars built, produced in 1929 in Los Angeles – with many components actually made by a nearby machinist and metalwork contractor, Adolph Rickenbacher. This is an early example of a production resophonic guitar – the first production took place in 1927.

BC Rich Bich Supreme Maple Natural, 1995

BC Rich Bich Supreme Maple Natural, 1995

Designed by Neal Moser while Bernardo Rico was out of the country, the BC Rich Bich first appeared in the 1976 catalog as a 10-string model. Like most other BC Rich models of the time, the Bich used a neck-through design with ‘wings’ added to provide the body shape for the center neck-body section. The BC Rich Bich Supreme seen here is in great condition with very little wear.

Sold! Dobro Model 27 Sunburst, 1934

Sold! Dobro Model 27 Sunburst, 1934

The Dobro Model 27 and 25 were for a time one of Dobro’s most popular models, though it’s hard to tell which model is which – the designation was based on that year’s price!
Here we’re looking at a what’s likely a Dobro Model 27, though possibly a 25, built during 1934 for Dobro by the Regal company of Chicago, Illinois. The body construction is largely of Birch ply, bound top and back, with likely Poplar for the neck and Walnut for the fingerboard.
