Gibson Les Paul Custom Gloss Black, 2002

Gibson Les Paul Custom Gloss Black, 2002

Making its first appearance for 1954 , the Gibson Les Paul Custom has long been the top of the line for many electric guitarists. During the 1950’s, the Custom differed from the rest of the Les Paul line in an invisible way. Unlike the other models with a Maple cap, the Custom had a carved Mahogany top.

Gibson SG Special Cherry 1965

 Gibson SG Special Cherry 1965

The Gibson SG Special first appeared in 1959, but as a Les Paul model featuring a slab body with rounded double cutaways. For 1961, the Les Paul line was completely redesigned and by 1963 the SG name replaced Les Paul’s. Here we’re looking at a Gibson SG Special in the classic Gibson cherry finish, with the short Vibrola tailpiece and compensated ‘stop bar’ bridge combination.

Gibson SJ200 Jumbo Steel String Sunburst, 1951

Gibson SJ200 Jumbo Steel String Sunburst, 1951

Introduced in 1938 and in constant production since then, the Gibson SJ200 is one of the largest and most recognisable steel string models. Here we’re looking at a very nicely preserved Gibson SJ200 dating to 1951 and built at the Parsons Street plant in Kalamazoo, Michigan. It is in overall rather good condition with some wear, but less than we often see on guitars approaching the 70 year old mark.

Collings City Limits Deluxe Sunburst, 2007

Collings City Limits Deluxe Sunburst, 2007

The Collings City Limits Deluxe, part of the CL line, draws from the proven combination of a Maple cap on a Mahogany body, providing warmth, clarity and sustain. This Collings City Limits Deluxe was first shipped and sold in March of 2008, and as Collings assigns serial numbers at start of production – which can take three to six months per instrument – this guitar would have been started in late 2007. It’s in very good clean condition with minor wear.

Martin 000-16E Steel String Guitar Natural

Martin 000-16E Steel String Guitar Natural

The Martin 00016E is a compact auditorium sized guitar that features a Sitka spruce top and Granadillo sides and back. Granadillo is a tropical hardwood from Central America. Granadillo is similar to Indian rosewood but it tends to be slightly harder and denser. This produces a tone similar to Indian rosewood with a scooped midrange and extended bass and trebles but with an additional bell like chime to the top end.

Martin 0-18 Standard Steel String Guitar Natural

Martin 0-18 Standard Steel String Guitar Natural

The Martin 0-18 Standard is a wonderful addition to the standard series from Martin guitars. This parlor sized body features a Sitka spruce top and mahogany sides and back. The small body shape is extremely comfortable to sit with and compact lower bout width helps to decrease strumming arm fatigue. The mahogany neck has a shorter 24.9” scale length and low oval profile to add to the comfortable playing experience.
