Gibson Byrdland Thinline Archtop with Venetian Cutaway Sunburst, 1975

Gibson Byrdland Thinline Archtop with Venetian Cutaway Sunburst, 1975

This Gibson Byrdland dates to 1974 and was built at the Gibson Nashville plant, and carries the Venetian cutaway. It is in overall good condition though the original case and pickguard are gone. This guitar has been used as intended, so it has some wear, dings and dents. The finish has some natural checking, and fingernail marks around the treble volume control. The frets are fairly low but still playable. The electronics and hardware other than the volume / tone knobs are original. The tuners are gold-plated Grover Imperials with metal tulip shaped buttons, and of course the engraved Byrdland tailpiece is there.

Taylor GS Mini-e Koa Steel String Guitar

The GS Mini-e Koa is built for tone, playability, portability, and durability. The top is solid Koa, but the sides and back are a 3-layer Koa laminate with a Poplar core, and this will help keep it stable in the varied temperature and humidity conditions guitars of this type are often subjected to. The neck is Sapele, with Ebony for the fingerboard and bridge, and the headstock has an overlay of Copaifera wood.

Fender Stratocaster Hard Tail Black, 1973

Fender Stratocaster Hard Tail Black, 1973

This Fender Stratocaster guitar features the classic finished one piece Maple neck, with the new from 1971 3-bolt MicroTilt neck and hex-key ‘Bullet’ truss rod adjuster at the head. The MicroTilt and Bullet adjuster are extremely practical features, allowing rapid adjustments to the guitar’s setup, without disassembling it. Many earlier Fender models have damaged pickguards from truss rod adjustments with the neck on – a flat screwdriver would frequently be used and dig into the pickguard.

Ernie Ball Music Man JP6 John Petrucci Pearl Redburst, 2014

The Ernie Ball Music Man JP6 John Petrucci model is a very well designed and built guitar, with direct links back to Leo Fender’s work – Leo was a silent partner in what became Music Man, silent due to a 10 year no-competition clause in his sale of the Fender company to CBS in 1965.

Gibson ES-339 Thinline Custom Shop Cherry, 2008

Gibson ES-339 Thinline Custom Shop Cherry, 2008

The Gibson ES-339 was a hit from its introduction in 2007 using the concept and classic lines of the ES-335, but with a scaled down body. All of the other features line up between the two models – the scale lengths, neck sizes and hardware are the same. The build quality is identical, with Maple laminates for the body, Mahogany for the neck and a Rosewood fingerboard. The headstock logos and position markers are Mother of Pearl.

Collings OM2H Steel String Guitar

Collings OM2H Steel String Guitar

OM’ stands for “Orchestra Model,” but 80 years after this body shape was first designed it has become the most popular 14-fret model with fingerstyle guitar soloists who choose to play on steel strings. Yet flatpickers also find it appealing, and when the graceful cutaway is added these OMs are often used by lead players who routinely explore all 20 frets much as they would on an electric guitar. The compact body shape makes the Collings OM equally easy to handle onstage or when sitting on the couch, and the relatively shallow body (barely over 4 inches deep) results in balanced tone and an immediate response.”
