Takamine Toby Keith EF250TK Sunburst, 2016

Takamine Toby Keith EF250TK Sunburst, 2016

Here is a stunning jumbo body guitar ideal for stage performance – a Takamine Toby Keith, based on the EF250 he played for many years and is now a signature model.  Drawing from classic Jumbo American guitars like the J-200 and F-500, the Takamine Toby Keith pairs a solid Sitka Spruce top with Flamed Maple for the cutaway, 17 inch wide body. The neck is Maple with Ebony used for the bound fingerboard, and Rosewood for the top-loading bridge. The inlays are Mother of Pearl and Abalone, with an Abalone ring at the rosette.

Gibson Les Paul Custom Tobacco Sunburst, 1982

Gibson Les Paul Custom Tobacco Sunburst, 1982

The Gibson Les Paul Custom appeared in 1954 as an upgrade to the 1952 Gold Top, and featured all-Mahogany construction – the top was Mahogany, not Maple. The electronics frets and finish differed as well. The bridge pickup was a P-90 and the neck pickup a ‘Staple Top’ Alnico-V single coil. The frets were very low, and introduced the ‘Fretless Wonder’ concept. Finally the finish was gloss black with Gold-plated hardware and multi-layer binding, emphasising high quality and distinction.

Harrison GB Blister Maple Sunburst, 2021

Harrison GB Blister Maple Sunburst, 2021

Here we have a brand new Harrison GB Blister Maple with its spectacular figuring emphasised by a hand-rubbed sunburst lacquer finish! The Harrison GB design originated as a custom order from the late Gary Benson, a prominent Toronto jazz guitarist and educator. The concept is a thin chambered Tropical Mahogany (Swietenia Macrophylla) body with a hand-carved Maple top with F-holes, a Mahogany neck with Ebony fingerboard, usually an Ebony bridge and a single humbucking pickup in the neck position.

Martin Style 2K Soprano Koa Ukulele, 1923

Martin Style 2K Soprano Koa Ukulele, 1923

Here we have a Martin Style 2K Soprano Koa Ukulele built around 1923 in Nazareth, Pennsylvania; this model debuted in 1918 as the Style 2, with the 2K Koa option until 1933, and as the Style 2 until 1965. In 1923, nickel patent tuners took the place of the original wooden friction pegs, helping date this instrument; at this point Martin Ukuleles did not receive serial numbers. This Martin Style 2K Koa Soprano Ukulele is in good working order and sounds quite good, with a warm, sweet tone.
