The SS Stewart American Princess 5-string open back banjo was built in the 1890’s in Philadelphia, and was aimed towards female players with its compact size and light weight. This wonderful SS Stewart American Princess example is in great condition and does not look at all like it’s over a century old.

Gibson SG Supreme Fireburst, 2002

The Gibson SG Supreme was built from 1999 to 2009 and features a figured Maple cap on a Mahogany slab body, paired with a Mahogany neck and bound Richlite fingerboard. At first, the SG Supreme was equipped with a pair of P-90 pickups, but these were phased out in favour of Humbuckers over the year 2000 and into 2001. In 2002, the ‘Fireburst’ finish seen here started rising from the tail of the guitar, rather than the traditional burst with dark edges and lighter center.

Larrivee C-10 Cutaway Steel String Natural, 1982

Built in Victoria BC during the spring of 1982, this Larrivee C-10 – also known as an L-28 – sports a very nice vintage Seahorse headstock inlay by Wendy Larrivee. The Larrivee C-10 is still in production, though not as elaborate as this vintage example. Its base is a pointed Florentine cutaway L-body with a Sitka Spruce top and Indian Rosewood for the back, sides and head plate.

Taylor 914ce-L1 Natural, 2003

The Taylor 914ce-L1 was produced as a Limited Edition during 2003, adding the Cindy inlay set to the stock Grand Auditorium model. The L1 featured Indian Rosewood for the back and sides, and an L3 version was also available with Brazilian Rosewood.

Here is another rarity, a Martin 000-40SPR Peter Rowan “Midnight Moonlight” Signature Edition, built during 2001 as number 26 of 87. The Martin 000-40SPR Peter Rowan “Midnight Moonlight” Signature Edition features a Sitka Spruce top, Mahogany back and sides, Mahogany for the body blocks and neck, with Ebony for the pyramid bridge, headstock overlay and bound fingerboard.

Larrivee RS-04 Solidbody Electric Gold Top, 2009

Many folks associate the name with high quality steel string guitars, but the Larrivee RS-04 was for a time the top end of Larrivee’s electric line. During the 1980’s, the company focused heavily on electrics, and still offer a few models. This Larrivee RS-04 Mahogany sports a GoldTop finish and dates to October 29, 2009 and is in overall very good condition with only very light wear.
