Gibson RB-250 Mastertone Banjo Natural, 1977

Gibson RB-250 Mastertone Banjo Natural, 1977

The Gibson RB-250 Mastertone was the working-musician’s banjo for decades and offers that classic Gibson sound with the “Snap” to the treble attack that only Gibsons have. This is essentially the same banjo as the famous Gibson RB-3 without the Wreath inlay.

Gibson J-45 Standard Vintage Sunburst, 2009

Used by legions of guitarists for countless gigs, recordings and personal playing, the round-shouldered J-45 was one of the two primary ‘Dreadnought’ designs (the other being the square-shouldered Martin D-body) that influenced many later builders.

This Collings GoldTop CL City Limits is special, apparently being the second GoldTop CL personally made and finished by the late Bill Collings himself. This guitar model clearly draws from a the classic pairing of Maple and Mahogany, and this very early Collings Gold Top CL has some subtle shaping differences to distinguish it.
