Fender American Elite Precision Bass Sunburst, 2018

The Fender American Elite Precision Bass is at the top end of Fender’s bass models, offering the solid tone reliability and versatility of both the Precision and Jazz basses. It starts with the P-J combination, the P-Bass pickup in its normal spot and a Noiseless Jazz bass pickup at the bridge. It adds a new, high mass bridge with the strings loading through the body, a very solid five-bolt neck joint, Ebony fingerboard, and a 3-band EQ. All the hardware is top quality.

Fender Mustang Solidbody Guitar Red, 1966

This particular Fender Mustang dates to 1966 at the Fullerton California Fender plant, recently purchased by CBS and at the point where changes really started to show up. For example, the 1966 Mustang has a larger headstock, new decal, and F-stamped neck plate. The construction is typical Fender, with a Poplar or Mahogany body, Maple neck with bonded Rosewood fingerboard bolted on.

Eastwood Airline Deluxe 3P LTD Indigo, 2010

Eastwood Guitars started in 2001 to re-create the many wild designs of brands like Airline, Supro and Mosrite. Eastwood is based in Brampton, Ontario and uses three factories in China and Korea; they ship from North America and Europe. Here we’re looking at an Eastwood Airline Deluxe 3P in a limited edition Indigo finish; it is serialized as 10 of 24. This model is also described as the Airline 59 3P DLX.

Bluesman Nomad Doublecut TV Finish, 2016

Built by the Bluesman Vintage Guitars custom shop in Spring Hill – just south of Nashville – the Bluesman Nomad Double Cut recalls the iconic TV Yellow Les Paul Specials of the 1950s. The Bluesman Nomad construction concept is simple – a Mahogany slab body is paired with a Mahogany set neck, and a Rosewood fingerboard is installed. A single P-90 pickup is placed at the bridge, and a volume and tone control finish the electronics. Kluson Deluxe tuners round off the hardware. Originally, a simple stop-bar tailpiece was installed, but here a modern version with adjustable saddles is used.

Gibson SG Standard ‘Les Paul 100’ Cherry Red, 2015

Construction of the 2015 Gibson SG Standard followed the traditional line – a solid Mahogany body, Mahogany neck and bound Rosewood fingerboard. The hardware was upgraded to the new tuners and zero fret nut, but many also shipped with a set of standard Grover Roto-Matic tuners, or a set was available, should the purchaser not want the G-Force tuners.

Ibanez JS1000 Joe Satriani Black Pearl, 2005

The Ibanez JS1000 Joe Satriani model was built from 1994 to 2014 and for much of that time available in the Black Pearl finish seen here. Joe Satriani has been highly influential for decades, dating back to giving Steve Vai and Kirk Hammett lessons and on to his own work as a sideman and successful solo career. There’s a lot to like in the Ibanez JS1000. The design is very effective, and based on the real needs of a highly skilled performer.
