Fender Jazz Bass Black, 1973

Introduced in 1960, the Fender Jazz Bass was intended to provide a more accurate simulation of an acoustic bass sound, aimed squarely at jazz players. Here we’re looking at a Fender Jazz Bass from 1973 in a black poly finish; prior to 1968, these basses received a nitrocellulose lacquer finish.

Ernie Ball Music Man Edward Van Halen Trans Purple, 1993

Available from 1991 to 1995, the Ernie Ball Music Man Edward Van Halen was designed and built to EVH’s requirements for recording and touring. After 1995, the model was renamed the Axis, with the construction remaining the same – a basswood body with a figured Maple top and a Maple neck with 10 inch radius and 22 frets.

Fender Telecaster Bass Blonde, 1972

The Fender Telecaster Bass launched in the surprisingly late year of 1968, though its appearance is very much like the original, revolutionary 1951 Precision Bass. From a modern perspective, there isn’t a lot to the Fender Telecaster Bass. It is basically an ash or alder slab body with a one-piece maple neck bolted to it, a bridge, and from 1968 to 1972 a single coil pickup with volume and tone controls.

Ernie Ball Music Man Stingray BFR Redwood Top, 2008

Here’s something special – an Ernie Ball Music Man Stingray BFR Redwood Top 4-string bass, one of 100 built. These basses feature a highly figured Redwood top on an Ash body, paired to a Mahogany neck with Indian Rosewood fingerboard, patented compensated nut, and Ball Family Reserve octave inlay. The bass is in excellent condition with very little wear.

Here we’re looking at an Ibanez AZ2402 in Pearl White Flat (PWF) finish with Roasted Maple neck, built during 2022 and in excellent condition. The AZ Prestige line of guitars from Ibanez has proven to be a hit with their high-end features, excellent craftsmanship and blend of classic and modern styles.

Gibson Les Paul Standard Iced Tea Burst, 2001

Seen here is a very Gibson Les Paul Standard in Iced Tea Burst finish built during 2001 in Nashville, TN. While its top is somewhat plain, it has everything else that’s made the Les Paul an enduring classic. While the Les Paul was introduced in 1952, the Les Paul Standard named as such didn’t appear until 1958 after Gibson’s new Humbucking pickups were installed to 1957 models.
