The Charvel ProMod DK24 HH is a great, straight ahead guitar with all the essentials for an efficient rock machine and is one of our recent Staff Picks ! Seen here is the Satin Burgundy Mist version, and here is the Sunburst version. Based on the ‘Super Strat’ concept with a pair of humbuckers and two-point, non-locking trem, the Charvel ProMod DK24 combines and alder body with roasted or ‘caramelized’ maple neck for full, clear tone and fairly lightweight.

Ibanez RG655 GX Galaxy Black, 2017

The Ibanez RG655 Prestige was built from 2014 to 2017 as part of the Prestige line, Made in Japan at the Hoshino Gakki Fuji-Gen shops that produce many high end instruments. The Ibanez Prestige line appeared in 1996 and almost always indicates that the instrument was built in Japan to very high quality standards and higher end components. The Ibanez RG series came into being in 1992 with the RG550, itself introduced in 1987 but as part of the Roadstar series.

PRS S2 Vela Solidbody Tobacco Burst, 2015

The PRS S2 Vela is a solid Mahogany set neck, straight ahead guitar somewhat reminiscent of some 1960’s solid bodies but with modern features and PRS versatility. In all original, very good condition, this PRS S2 Vela was built during 2015 at the PRS shop in Stevensville, Maryland. It combines a nicely contoured Mahogany body with a Mahogany set neck and Indian Rosewood fingerboard.

Fender Brad Paisley Road Worn® Telecaster®, 2017

The Fender Brad Paisley Road Worn Telecaster takes its cues as a signature model from one of Paisley’s main guitars, an original 1968 pink Paisley Tele. The initial appearance of this model is striking – it’s shiny, silver sparkle finish is hard to miss, and complements the silver and black Paisley pickguard. The one-piece Maple neck is much like many 1950’s models, and its 9.5 inch radius fingerboard and full profile is surprisingly comfortable.

PRS SC 245 Solidbody, Trans Brown, 2008

Here we’re looking at a PRS SC 245 built during 2008 at the PRS shop in Stevensville, Maryland. It’s in very good condition, with only slight wear; the nickel plated metal parts are developing a natural patina. This example is built using a bookmatched, carved Flame Maple top on a contoured Mahogany back and a Mahogany neck bearing an unbound Indian Rosewood fingerboard with Bird inlays. The neck joint is nicely contoured for comfort.

PRS CE 24 Solidbody Trans Red, 2000

he 1991 PRS CE 24 solidbody uses a basic, straight ahead formula – a Maple neck, with Rosewood fingerboard, bolted to a solid Mahogany body, a trem and a pair of humbucking pickups. Introduced in 1988 and built until 2008, with production resuming in 2016, the PRS CE 24 solidbody is the “Classic Electric” 24 fret model.
