Gibson Longhorn Double Cut Solidbody Trans Blue, 2008

Gibson Longhorn Double Cut Solidbody Trans Blue, 2008

Here we have a Gibson Longhorn Double Cut, identified as number 123 of the limited run of 1000 and built during 2008. Originally equipped with EMG 85 active humbuckers, this guitar now carries a set of standard Gibson humbuckers with gold plated covers. The battery access cover and carrier, part of the control panel cover, has been removed and covered with tape. The trans blue nitrocellulose lacquer finish is in good condition, with some light scuffing and wear to the top.

Fender Custom Shop 1951 Telecaster Relic Blonde, 2016

Fender Custom Shop 1951 Telecaster Relic Blonde, 2016

The Fender Custom Shop 1951 Telecaster Relic features a light-weight Ash body, and a full-U profile, one piece Maple neck. This neck design was one of Leo Fender’s breakthroughs. The finish reproduces the original nitrocellulose lacquer ‘blonde’, but with significant wear. Tuners are Kluson Deluxe style with metal buttons, as Fender continued to use for decades. The bridge offers three Brass saddles, and has the Patent Pending stamp, as many early 1950’s models did (until Fender ran out and had to re-order).

G&L ASAT Solidbody Electric Sunburst, 2002

G&L ASAT Solidbody Electric Sunburst, 2002

Taking very clear cues from the classic and proven 1950’s designs, the G&L ASAT looks like an ‘improved’ Telecaster. Notably, the ‘Hard Tail’ bridge addresses a number of vibration issues by adding a set screw to the treble side of the bridge housing. This set screw pushes against the saddles, so that once the saddles are properly adjusted, they lock in place. As well, the larger single coil ‘MFD’ or ‘Modified Field Design’ pickups are Leo’s design, combing ceramic under-coil magnets with soft iron adjustable magnets for each string.

Gretsch Committee G7628 Maple Walnut Solidbody Guitar, 1978

Gretsch Committee G7628 Maple Walnut Solidbody Guitar, 1978

The Gretsch Committee G7628 came into being during the era of Baldwin ownership – summer 1967 to early 1985 – and was built from 1977 to 1980. This is a solidly Baldwin era Gretsch Committee G7628, a solid-body, through-neck double cutaway design built of Maple and Black Walnut. With a bound Indian Rosewood fingerboard, it carries a pair of humbucking pickups under a ‘bat-wing’ type pickguard. The pickguard was either opaque or transparent. The pickups feed through a mini-toggle selector switch and individual volume and tone controls. A hardtail bridge strung through the body and enclosed tuners complete the hardware.
