Here is a rare thing of beauty – a Linda Manzer Custom Cutaway from 1980, wearing a lovely Alphonse Mucha – inspired engraved headstock inlay. Linda Manzer has been building since the mid 1970’s, training with Jean Larrivee from 1974 to 1978 and in 1984 learning archtop construction from the late James D’Acquisto in New York City. Her spectacular and varied instruments have been used by many top players including Pat Metheney, Bruce Cockburn, and Julian Lage.

William Laskin Flamenco Blanca Guitar, 2019 ( No Longer Available)

Built during 2019 in Toronto, this William Laskin Flamenco Blanca guitar features a Spruce top, Cypress for the sides and back and Spanish Cedar for the body blocks and neck. The head plate and fingerboard are Ebony, and the bridge is Indian Rosewood. The rosette combines Laskin’s traditional mosaic pattern with two rings of Abalone or similar shell – subtle and attractive.

The Collings CL Jazz is a rare thing of beauty, functional art manifesting as a thinline hollowbody carved top jazz guitar. The late Bill Collings’ work is some of the best. His work was very well thought out and executed in every way. Build quality, materials selection, fit, finish, sound and playability are top notch.

Yamaha GC-20D Classical Brazilian Rosewood, 1972

Here we have a lovely 1972 vintage Yamaha GC-20D classical guitar with a spectacular Brazilian Rosewood set for the sides and back. The ‘GC’ stands for ‘Grand Concert’ and these models were the top of the line for Yamaha classical guitars, and are seriously good instruments. As the GC-20D, this model was built from 1971 to 1973.

Gibson J-45 Standard Vintage Sunburst, 2009

The Gibson J-45 Standard was rightly described as a workhorse in the steel string acoustic guitar field after its introduction in 1942. Used by legions of guitarists for countless gigs, recordings and personal playing, the round-shouldered J-45 was one of the two primary ‘Dreadnought’ designs (the other being the square-shouldered Martin D-body) that influenced many later builders.

Epiphone Elitist Byrdland Archtop Electric Natural, 2008

This is an Epiphone Elitist Byrdland in natural finish, built during 2008 at the Terada plant near Nagoya. This plant builds many top quality instruments, including much of the Gretsch pro-line guitars. This guitar is in very good condition, and seems to be entirely original and in excellent condition with very little wear of any kind.
