This Matthew Woodall Archtop uses a fairly traditional cutaway design, with a 17 inch wide body. The top is solid carved Spruce with bound F-holes, and the back is carved, bookmatched Spalted Maple. The sides and neck are also Maple and the body is bound with a faux-tortoise layer. The fingerboard, bridge and tailpiece are Ebony.

Zemaitis Heart 12 String Superior Plus Acoustic Guitar Mahogany, 1986

This rare Zemaitis Heart 12 String Superior Plus steel string acoustic guitar is built of Mahogany, with Ebony for the fingerboard and bridge and Rosewood for the headplate. It was built during 1986 at the Zemaitis shop in Chatham, Kent, England. During the 1970s, Tony Zemaitis became one of the most sought after luthiers as English musical royalty discovered his new metal-topped electric guitars. Ron Wood, Eric Clapton, Keith Richards, and George Harrison all played Zemaitis models at various times.

Gibson J185 12 String Guitar Maple Natural, 2001

The Gibson J185 12 String was built in Bozeman Montana from 2001 to 2004 and as the name suggests puts the classic J-185 into a 12 string configuration. The J-185 model was originally built from 1951 to 1959 and featured a smaller body than the J-200, but also used Maple sides and back with Sitka Spruce top. The neck is Mahogany with Rosewood used for the bridge and bound fingerboard.

Eastman PCH3 GACE Grand Auditorium Steel String Guitar

The grand auditorium body used on the Eastman PCH3 GACE is comfortable and versatile, and takes cues from another very popular brand; until recently, many guitars were based on classic Martin and Gibson designs. It performs well for both fingerstyle and strumming and the solid Sitka spruce top has good dynamics and clarity.

The Taylor 512ce is a dream guitar for the fingerstyle player. The small grand concert body shape provides a very compact and comfortable playing experience and requires less energy to get the top moving. This allows players with a light touch to get a full sound from a smaller body. The Western Red Cedar top of the Taylor 512ce has lovely touch sensitivity and a warm midrange. Red Cedar is used extensively on higher end classical guitars, as its voice develops faster than Spruce and is very responsive.
