Fender Eric Johnson Thinline Signature Stratocaster Vintage White

This model draws from the historic work of Roger Rossmeisl, a German luthier who was responsible for a number of Rickenbacker’s most popular semi-hollow models before Fender hired him away. One of his first designs became the 1969 Fender Telecaster Thinline. Grammy award winning and worldwide respected guitarist Eric Johnson knows a thing or two about tone. In 2015 Eric approached Fender about creating a light weight and resonant strat that would complement his playing style and provide his ideal liquid and articulate tone. Two years later a design that combined the tones of his favourite semi hollow bodies and his strat seemed to do the trick. That design became the Fender Eric Johnson Thinline Signature Stratocaster.

Fender Bonnie Raitt Stratocaster Desert Sunset “Blueburst”, 1995

The rare Fender Bonnie Raitt Signature Stratocaster honors the groundbreaking female singer/guitarist who left Harvard / Radcliffe College to pursue music, particularly blues and folk styles and is well known for her slide playing. Bonnie Raitt’s first album was released in 1971. Since then she has had at least 17 studio albums of her own, plus live and compilations and guest spots for other artists.

Fender Stratocaster Hard Tail Sunburst, 1978

Here we have a Fender Stratocaster HardTail, built at the Fullerton plant during 1978, during the CBS era. The HardTail version was made from 1955 until 2006, when poor sales caused Fender to drop the HardTail model. The two Stratocaster versions are very similar, but the fixed hardtail bridge model doesn’t have the large cavity routed on the back for the trem block and springs. Without that cavity and the spring components, the Fender Stratocaster HardTail tends to have a bit more sustain and note-to-note clarity and separation, as with the Telecaster. Of course, this means it does not have the ‘built-in reverb’ contributed by the springs, whether the bridge is set to trem use, or fully tightened down for tuning stability.

Fender 72 Reissue Stratocaster Made in Japan Natural, 1994

Here’s a Fender 72 Reissue Stratocaster in Natural finish, built during 1994 for Fender Japan by Fuji-Gen at Matsumoto, Nagano Prefecture. This is not a Squier model, but a Fender branded Strat intended for sale in the Japanese market. Fender Japan began in 1982 as a joint venture between Fender (then under CBS ownership), Yamano Gakki (distributor of Fender and Gibson products) and Kanda Shokai (another prominent Japanese distributor) and lasted until 2015.

Fender Strat-Tele Hybrid Parallel Universe Limited Edition Sunburst

The Fender Strat-Tele Hybrid was the first instrument from the new limited edition Parallel Universe collection, melding together the best parts of two or more guitars. This great guitar uses a slightly modified Ash Telecaster body – adding comfort conours – and adds a Strat type Maple neck, and Strat type hardware.
