Gibson ES-175 Figured Top Tobacco Sunburst, 2006

Here we have a Gibson ES-175 figured top, in a classic Tobacco Sunburst, built during mid-2006 at the now-closed Gibson Memphis plant.   For 2016,  the Figured top was featured as a distinct model, noted on the label, but here this is a standard ES-175 model.

Gibson Les Paul Standard Sunburst, 1959

Gibson Les Paul Standard Sunburst, 1959

Once in a while we come across significant instruments like this, almost entirely original, 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard in Sunburst.   Often regarded as one of the Grail treasures of the guitar world, this is an instrument that hardly needs introduction. This 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard was purchased new in 1960, and has had one owner until recently. Decades ago it suffered a headstock break, which was solidly repaired at the time. We have cleaned up the aesthetics of that repair.

Gibson Flying V 2017 T Ebony NOS

 Gibson Flying V 2017 T Ebony NOS

Originally released in 1958 the Flying V introduced a radical and futuristic body shape which became an iconic staple of rock and roll and heavy metal! The Gibson Flying V 2017 T pays tribute to design features that became common place through the 70’s while using alternate woods such as Grenadillo for the fretboard. The Gibson Flying V 2017 T uses a large double wing mahogany body attached to a slim taper mahogany neck, which is very fast playing with the ultimate access to the upper frets due to the body design. There is really no body mass getting in the way of your hand when reaching for the highest notes.

Gibson Les Paul Custom 20th Anniversary Sunburst, 1974

Gibson Les Paul Custom 20th Anniversary Sunburst, 1974

Built during 1974 in Kalamazoo Michigan, this Gibson Les Paul Custom 20th Anniversary sports a Sunburst finish and gold plated hardware. As a commemorative model, the 15th fret mother of pearl block position marker is engraved with ’20th Anniversary’. This Gibson Les Paul Custom 20th Anniversary is in overall good but not entirely original condition. The nitrocellulose lacquer sunburst finish is in decent condition, as expected for a 47 year old guitar that’s been used as expected. There is wear to the finish along the edges of the fingerboard and on the neck where it’s rested on supports in the case.

Gibson ES335TD with Coil Tap Switch Walnut 1977

Gibson ES335TD with Coil Tap Switch Walnut 1977

The highly innovative Gibson ES335TD was an immediate hit when it was introduced in 1958, blending the resonance, attack and decay of an archtop with the sustain and feedback resistance of a solidbody. This feedback resistance was becoming extremely important both to guitarists and guitar designers as amplifiers became ever more powerful and stage volumes rose. These new models – the ES-335, ES-345 and ES-355 – also sported the new, Seth Lover designed Humbucking pickup.
