Gibson SG Standard Heritage Cherry, 2016

The Gibson SG Standard and Custom first appeared under the Les Paul name but with a complete redesign, in late 1960 as 1961 models. Built with the now-familiar double cutaway Mahogany body with Mahogany neck and Rosewood fingerboard, the re-design offered lighter weight and complete access to the upper frets.

Gibson Flying V Reissue Natural, 2005

This Gibson Flying V Reissue was built during 2005 at Nashville, and combines features from at least two major versions of the Flying V. When introduced in 1958 for its very short production run – 81 that year and 17 in 1959 – the Flying V was built of Korina (a Gibson name for African Limba wood) with a Rosewood fingerboard, and a string-through body with a V-shaped plate on the front.

Ratliff R5 F-Style Mandolin Sunburst, 2005

  Ratliff R5 F-Style Mandolin Sunburst, 2005

The Ratliff R5 mandolin is built by hand in Church Hill, Tennessee, part of a small lineup of F style and A style mandolins. The company was originally started to produce left-handed F-Style instruments, but has grown to produce right hand models, and offers both F hole and oval hole versions. This Ratliff R5 seems to be a discontinued model, superseded by the slightly more elaborate R5 ‘Master Model’.
