Jerry Jones Neptune Shorthorn Bass 4 Copper, 2006

Jerry Jones Neptune Shorthorn Bass 4 Copper, 2006

The Jerry Jones Neptune Shorthorn Bass 4 draws from a classic American design by Danelectro, and was built in Nashville from 1981 to 2011. At that point, Jones retired and liquidated his shop. Danelectro was operated from 1946 to 1969 by Nathan Daniel and from 1966 to its close was owned by the MCA record company. Specializing in mass produced, low cost but decent quality instruments and amplifiers, Danelectos were largely available through catalog stores like Sears & Roebuck and Montgomery Ward but often under other names including the Sears brand Silvertone.

Gibson ES339 Thinline Vintage Sunburst, 2011

Gibson ES339 Thinline Vintage Sunburst, 2011

This very clean Gibson ES339 Thinline Archtop Electric in Antique Vintage Sunburst was built during 2011 at the now-closed Memphis plant. Based on the successful ES-335, the ES-339 scales down the body width and length while maintaining the scale length and neck width. The result is a very comfortable and extremely versatile guitar with classic looks. Construction of the Gibson ES339 Thinline Archtop Electric follows the pattern of Gibson’s ES models and how that was adapted to the ground-breaking 1958 ES-335. From the late 1940’s, Gibson started using Maple Laminates for the top, back and sides of their electrified archtops in an effort to reduce both feedback and costs.

Eastman El Rey Mandolin ER-M Classic Finish

Eastman El Rey Mandolin ER-M Classic Finish

Eastman El Rey ER-M  Mandolin is very cool instrument that shares DNA with the Eastman archtop El Rey models, creating a contemporary looking electric mandolin. The Eastman El Rey ER-M features a solid one piece mahogany sides and back with a solid maple top. The mahogany provides enhanced mid range warmth and the maple top has a focused note fundamental with clear top end snap. The two f holes provide a bit of traditional mandolin looks but the single cutaway and lower bout design really give it that jazz box feel.
