Gretsch G6120 DS Nashville Archtop Electric Guitar Orange, 2003

Gretsch G6120 DS Nashville Archtop Electric Guitar Orange, 2003

The Gretsch G6120 DS Nashville is based on 1955-56 6120 models equipped with single coil deArmond DynaSonic pickups. Built for a short time starting in 2003, it is a ‘dressed down’ version of the G6120 DSV – it lacks the Western-style decorative G brand on the body and engraved block inlays.

Fender Stratocaster Natural Finish, 1972

 Fender Stratocaster Natural Finish, 1972

For most of the time since its 1954 introduction, the Fender Stratocaster has been very popular and has been available in a myriad of colours, though natural has not always been one of them. The first versions were often sunburst or translucent white, but automotive based colour schemes followed quickly.

Larrivee L-09 Steel String Guitar, 1995

Larrivee L-09 Steel String Guitar, 1995

The Larrivee L-09, based on the classically influenced L-body series, features a Sitka Spruce top paired with Indian Rosewood back and sides. The L series first appeared in the 1980’s and the balanced body shows the clear influence of classical builders, like Edgar Monch, that Larrivee was exposed to during his early days in Toronto.

Gibson J-45 Rosewood Round Shoulder Dreadnought, 2005

Gibson J-45 Rosewood Round Shoulder Dreadnought, 2005

The Gibson J-45, produced since 1942 with only one brief pause, is one of my favourite guitars. The round shoulder mahogany dreadnought body and spruce top produces a warm, rich tone that works really well with voice. From 1999 to 2006, Gibson produced a variant of the venerable J-45, the J-45 Rosewood using Indian Rosewood instead of mahogany with all the warmth of the original plus extra depth and power.

Gibson SG Custom Natural Mahogany, 1974

Gibson SG Custom Natural Mahogany, 1974

The Gibson SG Custom appeared in 1963, though originally as the new, slim double cutaway 1961 Les Paul. By 1963, Les Paul’s endorsement with Gibson had ended, so his name was removed. Featuring the now-familiar solid mahogany body, the SG Custom differs from ‘lesser’ SG models with bound neck and headstock, ebony fingerboard with Mother of Pearl block inlays, gold hardware, either a Vibrola or Stop tailpiece, and often three pickups.

❌Sold❌ Fender Telecaster Bass Blonde, 1970

❌Sold❌ Fender Telecaster Bass Blonde, 1970

This instrument is all original, used as intended, 1970 model Fender Telecaster Bass in translucent blonde finish – the same kind of finish as on early Telecasters. Yes, this was white when new. This particular bass was clearly used for many years in smoky environments, before second hand smoke legislation cleaned the air in bars and clubs across the country.
