Larrivee OM 09K Koa Steel String Guitar, 1996

The Larrivee OM 09K is the Koa version of the normally Rosewood bodied OM-09 Artist model, based on the classic Orchestra Model design dating back to the late 1920s. This body design originated with Martin, and is very similar to the 000 models, but the OM has a longer scale length – 25.5 inches compared to the 000’s 24.9 inches. This increases brightness, clarity and volume. The OM body also produces a well balanced tonal representation throughout the spectrum.

Epiphone Zephyr Regent Archtop Electric Sunburst, 1953

The Epiphone Zephyr Regent is a full body, 17.375 inches wide, built using Maple laminates for the top, back and sides for feedback resistance. The neck is Mahogany with Rosewood for the wooden bridge and bound fingerboard. The position markers are slotted Mother of Pearl blocks, perhaps looking forward to the markers found on the later Epiphone Howard Roberts model.

Gibson SG Junior Cherry, 1964

The Gibson SG Junior was built from 1963 to 1971, again from 1991 to 1994, and is back in the catalog. This model is the descendant of the 1954 Les Paul Junior. Designed to be an entry level yet high quality instrument, the Junior line featured a full scale length, Mahogany slab body, Mahogany neck, unbound Rosewood fingerboard, a single ‘dogear’ P-90 pickup with volume and tone controls. Kluson Deluxe strip tuners were installed, with a stop-bar style wraparound bridge at the body end.

Gibson Les Paul Traditional Lemon Burst, 2016

Appearing around 2008, the Gibson Les Paul Traditional delivers a 1980’s style Les Paul Standard often with some weight relief. Dating to 2012 and built at the Nashville plant, this Gibson Les Paul Traditional sports a Honey Burst finish on a relatively plain top – the finish code is LPTDZ16LMCH3 – and under the hood has the moderate Gibson ‘Traditional’ weight relief system.

Martin D 28 Dreadnought Steel String Guitar, 2012

This particular Martin D 28 was built during 2012 as part of the Standard Series at the Martin plant in Nazareth, Pennsylvania. It is in overall good condition. It has been well cared for but has been used as intended, so there is honest play wear in the usual locations. In particular, there is some pick wear to the top finish on the treble side of the fingerboard tag. There is also light to moderate fret wear in the lower positions.

Gibson UB4 Banjo Ukulele Mahogany, 1932

The Gibson UB4 Banjo Ukulele was built in Kalamazoo, Michigan from 1927 to 1935, and again in 1938. Gibson was relatively slow to the Ukulele market, but had been building banjos since at least 1918. The UB-4 is a professional grade instrument, with full flange and resonator. Gibson also offered the UB-5, which was this same instrument but with gold plated metal parts. This trim level would put it in the Mastertone range, but these Ukuleles don’t have the Mastertone tone ring.
