The National M-14T Thunderbox is the latest version of National’s standard M-14. The newly improved M-14T features a 4″ deep body, improving the low end response and creating a louder, punchier instrument. The National M-14T Thunderbox body is composed of laminate top and back, and solid mahogany sides. This instrument also features a mahogany neck, ebony fretboard and mother-of-pearl position markers.
Wood Body
The wood body National M-1 Tricone, like its close relative the M-1 Cutaway, blends the unmistakable sound of a tricone with the warmth of wood, and has a lighter weight as a bonus. Outfitted with National’s new-alloy cones and aluminum T-bridge, the National M-1 uses a mahogany laminate for the body, with solid mahogany for the neck and ebony for the bound fingerboard. The cover-plate is steel, and is hand-painted to match the colour tone of the top woods.

MORE →This National M2 single cone resophonic guitar was built during 2007 in San Luis Opisbo, California. The M1 and M2 models are currently out of production, and were built from 1990 to 1994 and again from 2003 to at least 2012. The National M2 was National ResoPhonic’s earliest single-cone model. The M1, produced around the same time, was the same general construction but was a Tri-Cone model.

The 12-fret fingerboard is Ebony, and the slotted peghead has an Indian Rosewood head plate sporting the National shield logo decal.
