Fender 56/59 Stratocaster Rosewood Neck Sunburst

When Leo Fender first came up with the revolutionary bolt-together design that became the Telecaster, he considered serviceability and repairability. A bolt-on neck is easy to replace should it become damaged or excessively worn. Over the years, players have used this design feature to adapt instruments to their own requirements.

EVH Red Stripe, 2013

Instantly recognizable, the EVH Red Stripe draws from the guitar the late Eddie Van Halen used on his breakthrough recordings and performances. The original instrument was constructed from an unfinished body and neck set by Boogie Bodies, and added a used Fender Stratocaster trem and Gibson humbucker – plus the highly distinctive paint scheme that was immediately copied by many players.

Deering Tenbrooks Legacy Banjo, 2004

The Deering Tenbrooks Legacy banjo is a professional grade instrument combining Mahogany for the neck and resonator with Maple for the tone ring. This example dates to 2004, built in Spring Valley California, and has a rather low serial number – 0020. It is in overall good shape, but it has definitely been used as intended and there is moderate fret wear and a few small scuffs around the resonator.

OME Jubilee Open Back Banjo Natural, 2014

The OME Jubilee banjo comes from Boulder, Colorado, where OME has been building – first under the ODE name – since the early 1960’s. This is one of the best banjos of its type we’ve had here for a while, with excellent build quality, great hardware and a very nice inlay set.

Collings 0001 12-Fret Steel String Natural, 2012

Here is a wonderful Collings 0001 with a 12-fret full 25.5 inch scale neck, built with Sitka Spruce top and Honduran Mahogany. Built during 2012 in Austin and signed by Bill Collings, this guitar is in very good clean condition. While this guitar is now almost a decade old, it has been very well cared for. It’s also been owned and played by someone with highly developed skills, and so the guitar has had a chance to develop its frankly impressive voice.

Taylor 314ce LTD Tasmanian Blackwood, 2017

On January 6, 2022 /

The Taylor 314ce LTD for 2017 was built with Tasmanian Blackwood for the sides and back, using the Grand Auditorium body design. This example dates to May 18 2017, was built at the Taylor plant in El Cajon, California and is in overall good clean condition with light play and fret wear.
