Guild Starfires started appearing in 1960 as a natural electric progression of Guild’s focus on archtop guitars. The Starfire II featured a single-cutaway thinline hollow body in either maple or mahogany laminate, mahogany neck with bound rosewood fingerboard, and two pickups.

This example dates to 1964 and carries a pair of Guild humbucking pickups, which tend to be very good sounding. It is in good condition, with little fret wear. The finish is in overall good shape, with some wear and a series of small dents on the back and rear of the headstock. The original hardshell case is included.
