William Laskin is one of the top luthiers in the world. After working with Jean Larrivee he has for decades been building from his shop in Toronto. He is well known for the extremely high quality of his work.
From 1989, we have here a William Laskin small bodied steel string guitar with florentine cutaway, Sitka spruce top and Indian Rosewood back and sides. The top binding and Mississippi Kite fingerboard inlays are abalone, and the fingerboard and bridge are ebony.
This fine instrument is in good condition with some play wear and a few small dings on the top, expected of an instrument of this age that has been used as intended.
Fretwear is light to moderate, and it has a full, rich and even tone. A transducer pickup has been installed with endpin jack, and A blue Calton case is included.
