Since the mid 1970s, Michael Heiden has been building instruments like this spectacular Heiden F-5 from his shop in the Creston Valley in southern British Columbia.

Built in 1999, this Heiden F-5 mandolin is based on the classic Gibson F style. It features a nitrocellulose lacquer finish, hand carved one piece flame maple back, hand carved spruce top, a modern fret size and a radius fingerboard. There is some wear; it has been played for 16 years after all, but it has been well taken care of.

This exceptional instrument has been recently serviced with a fret dress and setup in our shop, so it’s ready to go!

A hardshell case is included. A hardshell case is included.
