Appearing in 1954 as an improvement on the Telecaster, the Fender Stratocaster was a huge hit. The 1959 Stratocaster received new features, including a rosewood fingerboard. New colours were available, too!
Here we have an 2014 model, Fender American Vintage 1959 Stratocaster in faded sonic blue, a rare colour for this model. It’s in very good condition and carries a nitrocellulose lacquer finish. Fret wear is extremely light, and these reissues use a higher, narrow fretwire that provides much better grip and a bit more tonal clarity and separation. And, it takes longer to wear them enough to have to refret! The original brown Fender case is included.
