Stephane Ferre builds classical guitars in Quebec City, and has sent us one of his new models, a double-top and double-side guitar featuring Birdsye Maple – Mahogany sides and Englemann Spruce – Nomex top.

This guitar is aimed at the concert player; double tops and sides are mostly of benefit to the very advanced guitarist. It has a 650mm scale length and a wide 53.5mm nut width. The top is fan braced, with Macassar ebony binding and armrest. The French Polish finish allows the guitar to vibrate freely, and provides sufficient protection if the instrument is cared for. A Hiscox case is included.
