The Bourgeois Slope D draws from the classics – the slope, or round shouldered dreadnought guitars introduced in the late 1930’s by Gibson and to some degree the earlier Ditson Martins. Many of Gibson’s J sized models – the J-35 and iconic J-45 used this body design. Bourgeois takes the idea and executes it flawlessly with the highest quality materials.
This Bourgeois Slope D was built during 2004 in Lewiston, Maine, and features a Sitka Spruce top with a sunburst finish. The sides, back and neck are mahogany, with an ebony fingerboard and bridge. It is in very good condition with just slight play wear. The setup is currently a bit high but there is so much saddle that having extremely low action would not be a problem to achieve.
The original TKL arched top hardshell case is included.
