We have just taken delivery of another Collings MF5 F-style mandolin from Bill Collings’ Austin Texas workshop. At last count, we had over 40 mandolins in stock. There is always one that stands out above the rest; always one that just has that warm throaty midrange bark; that sparkling presence; that low end chunk; that power. This is the one. THE ONE! The numero uno!!!!!
The Collings MF5 F Style mandolin utilizes the highest grade tonewoods possible. The top is premium hand graduated spruce while the back and sides are solid, deeply figured maple. This mandolin features grained ivoroid on all edges, a flawless gloss sunburst finish, custom Collings-made ebony bridge, the Collings string-thru cast tailpiece, and a radiused fingerboard which extends to the 22nd fret with a graceful extension that compliments the headstock.
The Collings MF5 F Style mandolin is sold with the original Collings hard shell case.
