Neck	Three-piece mahogany neck with bound ebony fingerboard. 25″ scale length with 1.75″ nut width.
Frets	20 medium jumbo frets.
Body	Laminate flame maple back and sides,carved spruce top with bound F-holes, bound top and back.
Finish	Gloss sunburst finish.
Hardware/electronics	Gold tuners with Imperial-style buttons, ebony bridge, ebony tailpiece cover, ebony pickguard. One humbucking pickup at neck.
Playability/Action	Eastman models are generally built to address the needs of a jazz player, so they handle heavier strings well and the fingerboards are wide enough for complex chording – but not too wide.

Comments	Eastman makes some of the best-value jazz boxes around, and the Eastman AR 503 is a prime example. It plays and sounds great, and wouldn’t look out of place anywhere.
