We’ve just received a pair of limited edition Epiphone G-1275 double neck guitars! The classic ‘SG Doubleneck’ was designed for performances that required a specific versatility.
Double neck guitars have a long history, and include harp guitars. However, Gibson’s first electric doubleneck appeared in 1958 as the EDS-1275 thinline hollowbody. In 1962, it shifted to the widened SG solid body.
For practical reasons, these guitars aren’t common, but they do fill a real need. The Epiphone G-1275 version of the SG Doubleneck is a great, fairly low cost way to get a well built, well playing set of 12 and 6 string necks.
These were built in Korea as part of a limited edition for 2015. They are new, and sold without case, though cases are available.
