Here is a rare Candy Apple Red finish, is a Gibson Les Paul Standard from 1983! It’s equipped with Tim Shaw Shawbuckers, and weighs in at about 10.7 pounds. This example uses what appears to be its original Chromed hardware; gold-plated hardware was available on some versions.
This eye-catcher has a recent re-fret and setup from The Twelfth Fret repair shop and is in great playing condition.
Over the years, other work was done elsewhere. In particular, there’s some evidence in the cutaway that the neck joint has been removed and reglued. Unfortunately that resulted in witness marks around the joint and on the back, behind the tenon. Gibson assembles body and neck prior to finishing, so during work like a neck removal, the finish around the joint must be cut.
Otherwise, this Gibson Les Paul Standard is in good shape, with the most noticeable mark being a small finish chip between the two volume controls.
The original Gibson branded, molded hard shell case is included.
