Here’s a very nice Koa Concert Ukulele from Kanile’a, run by master luthier Joseph Souza in Kane`ohe, Hawaii. These are very well made, professional grade instruments.
Born and raised on Oahu, Joseph Souza apprenticed to Peter Bermudez and has been building ukuleles since 1991.
This K1-C concert ukulele is built using the traditional Hawaiian material – Koa – and a nicely figured set was used here. The fingerboard is Indian Rosewood, with abalone position markers. This example is in very good condition with only the slightest wear, and the original hardshell case is included.
