National Tricone Style 1 12-Fret Neck Black, 2000

National Tricone Style 1 12-Fret Neck Black, 2000

Here’s an interesting piece: a National Tricone Style 1 with 12-fret neck, used by Colin Linden on various projects including Blackie and the Rodeo Kings! The National Tricone is based on the very first resophonic guitars invented in 1927 by George Beauchamp and built by luthier John Dopyera – with the spun cones and metal bodies made by Adolf Richenbacher.

Here’s a treat – a Bozo B80S-12 built under license around 1975, by K. Yairi in Honshu, Japan, and in fully playable condition! Most of the – very few – Bozo Podunavic guitars we have seen were made in the USA and used by top players like Leo Kottke and Harvey Mandel. Bozo Podunavic was born in Serbia and completed an apprenticeship with master luthier Milutin Miadenovic in Belgrade, Yugoslavia in 1950.

The Nechville Midnight Phantom Standard 5-string banjo offers all of the quality and technical advances of Tom Nechville’s designs, with subtle decoration. “Standard” isn’t really an official Nechville designation; we use it as many of the instruments we receive from them have custom features.  You can read our post on the Midnight Phantom Custom here.
