Alhambra Guitars, in a collaboration with Carlos Piñana, a fabulous young player from Murcia, Spain, have focused on making dramatic improvements to the Flamenco Negra Guitar. The Alhambra 5FP Carlos Piñana Flamenco Guitar and the Alhambra 10FP Carlos Piñana flamenco guitar offers players a fuller, rounder bass response.

Gibson L5CES Archtop Electric Guitar Demonstrator, Crimson 2013

The Gibson L-5CES is a big guitar, built for use on the largest bandstands. The 17 inch wide body features a carved Spruce top and a carved Flame Maple back. The sides are matching Flame Maple, and the neck is a five-piece design using three Flame Maple sections with a pair of Walnut strips between the joins. The bridge and bound fingerboard are Ebony.

C. F. Martin OM-35 Steel String Guitar Sunburst, 2006

The C. F. Martin OM-35 was built between 2003 and 2007, drawing from the excellent tonal results of the OM design and adding ’35’ level features. While the OM-35 itself is discontinued, it is now available with a standard pickup as the OM-35E. The Martin OM is itself based on the OOO or ‘Triple O’ body design, but adds a longer scale length neck – 25.4 inches instead of the Triple O’s 24.9 inches. This increases the string tension, making the top work a bit harder to deliver a bit more volume and clarity.

Fender Mustang Refinished Black, 1965

This Fender Mustang guitar is in good playing condition and sounds great. The original grey hard shell case is included, with some graffiti it has acquired over the years. The Mustang features a trem system using a rocking bridge and elevated string bar tailpiece, the springs being located under the chrome bridge plate. Overall, this design shares several elements of the Jazzmaster / Jaguar trem bridge.

Heritage Golden Eagle Archtop Electric, 2004

Based on the larger classic archtop guitars, the Heritage Golden Eagle features a 17 inch wide body with carved Spruce top and carved Flame Maple back. The sides and neck are also Flame Maple, and the Ebony fingerboard is bound and has ‘cloud’ pattern mother of pearl position markers. The headstock carries a Mother of Pearl Eagle inlay, and the truss rod cover is the same material.

Ramirez SP Semi-Professional Spruce Top Classical Guitar, 2003

The Ramirez SP, now the Semi-Professional model, bridges the ‘Estudio’ and ‘Handcraft’ classical guitars and is intended for the accomplished student player about to move to professional status. Like other ‘Estudio’ models, the Semi-Professional is partly built in the city of Madrid at the Ramirez shop – it’s worth noting that Madrid prohibits spray finishing and so that type of finishing is done at shops outside the city limits.
