(Discontinued) Bourgeois Advanced Slope D

(Discontinued) Bourgeois Advanced Slope D

For many, the Advanced Slope D from Dana Bourgeois is the ultimate dreadnought guitar.  With it’s extra deep lower bout (4 5/8″), the Advanced Slope D produced massive amounts of volume and power. Of course, like everything Bourgeois makes, this guitar is also an example of fine craftsmanship at its best.  The bracing work, joinery, binding and inlay work, and finishing is all exemplary. Simply one of the finest power-house guitars made today.

Bourgeois Small Jumbo Bubinga

 Bourgeois Small Jumbo Bubinga

Last year we received our first Small Jumbo model from Bourgeois and I was so impressed with the guitar that we just had to get another one. However, instead of ordering the exact same guitar I thought that I would ask Dana what exotic wood he may have around the shop that we could use. His answer: figured Bubinga! Right on, now we are talking custom! The idea behind the Small Jumbo body size is a guitar that is more comfortable and manageable  but still retains a lot of the power and tonal depth that you get from a larger instrument. Let me tell you this guitar delivers the goods!!

Bourgeois 00 Custom

What is it about a small bodied guitar like this? Is is the ease and comfort of playing this size of guitar in your favourite arm chair or slumped on the couch? Maybe or it could be the incredible craftsmanship, premium exotic woods and the fact the Dana Bourgeois squeezes more tone and volume out of a small bodied guitar then I would ever suspect.
