The Simon & Patrick Showcase Rosewood Concert Hall is a new guitar for the Godin companies – it’s so new that it isn’t even on their website yet!
This lovely guitar is built with solid woods where it counts; the top is spruce and the sides and back are rosewood, with a gloss finish for the body and headplate. The satin-finished neck, with an attractive slotted peghead, is mahogany with ebony for the fingerboard and bridge.
With a somewhat shorter scale length of 24.84 inches, the Showcase Rosewood Concert Hall has a distinctly Gibson-esque feel, and the rosewood provides a mellow depth to the tone. This is a very comfortable guitar to get deeply into playing.
These instruments come with or without a pickup system, the B-Band AT6 with two transducers. The guitar shown here does not have the pickup.
